Dier Daddy

Update: I named him Siamun.

I don't normally upload sketches, but Sand Diers are always an exception. This is Jillian's father. I'm using his story for an illustration project, but I've never drawn the man before, so practice sketches ensued. He's shown in a slightly shifted state, and then in his primitive form. I sort of combined the sketches, so I hope no one's confused.

Okay, so the thing about Jillian's dad is that he had been exiled from his home for marrying a Mefuna girl. It's a very taboo thing for Diers to mate with any of the human races, and there are certainly reasons why. Pretty much all you need to know is that Diers and humans should never have kids because there is a 100% chance that your human will die a painful gruesome death, which is exactly what happened.

Then he pretty much abandoned her in the desert. Oops.

He doesn't actually get to meet Jillian until a later on, though.
